For Immediate Release:
Sunnyvale, CA -- January 24, 2005 -- Continuing to build on its commitment to the government sector Objectivity, Inc., the leader in real-time data management solutions for complex inter-related data, today announces that it has been awarded a Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contract by the General Services Administration (GSA), making it easy for government agencies to procure the company's flagship product, Objectivity/DB, quickly and cost-effectively.
Easier For the Government to Acquire Objectivity/DB "The award of our FSS contract is significant because it allows government agencies to acquire Objectivity's high performance database through the GSA Schedule at a discount from commercial prices," states Jay Jarrell president and CEO of Objectivity. "The GSA FSS contract simplifies government agencies' access to our product by eliminating exhaustive competitive pricing and contracting procedures and allows us to focus all of our efforts on providing them with the most effective solution for finding the "needle in the haystack" in real-time knowledge management and data fusion applications for security and intelligence agencies." Success in the Government Sector Market Objectivity is experiencing significant momentum in several security and intelligence and battlefield simulation applications where there is an enormous amount of complex data that needs to be managed. Objectivity/DB enables government agencies to monitor, analyze and respond to inter-relationships or anomalies in their data and create real-time intelligence for predictive analysis and decision support. Many of Objectivity's government customers are performing data fusion from geospatial and sensor data. Others are storing and correlating vast amounts of disparate information such as text, images, video and voice for investigation or security and intelligence applications. Additional government agencies where Objectivity/DB has experienced significant success include the Department of Defense (DOD) and the Department of Energy (DOE), which has generated the world's largest database, currently storing 895 Terabytes of information in Objectivity/DB. "The GSA FSS contract will further enhance and strengthen our government relationships," adds Jarrell. "The Objectivity solution is gaining favor as the highly scalable repository for monitoring, analyzing, reporting and real-time data fusion applications for security and intelligence agencies."
